It's not easy raising kids these days...

Although friends and family provide support, sometimes short-term professional help can make a huge difference.

The Youth Council is unique for it array of effective programs that span early intervention and treatment for a variety of challenges inherent in raising teens. Unlike other youth agencies, we don't enjoy a national brand; however that enables us to remain nimble, responsive and creative as community needs emerge.

Since 1974, we have grown to serve as a first point-of-contact for greater Nashua, New Hampshire families struggling with acting out youth, parenting difficulties, alcohol and drug problems, and lack of school success.

We offer best-practice programs to 1500 greater Nashua children and teens each year, and strive to strengthen families, improve risky decisions and reduce involvement with the juvenile justice system. Our mission is to build strong families- free from abuse, addiction, and court involvement.

Our children and teens come from all walks of life, with all income levels, family structures and stressors. Grants through United Way, City of Nashua and private foundations, along with community donations, allow us to offer sliding scale fees for some services and keep costs low for others.
